Welcome to Get Started in Lightroom, a great new series from the makers of Practical Photography magazine. In this first installment, Ben Turner gives you a crash course in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2. It's an amazing package that's specifically for photographers who shoot lots of images. In short, Lightroom 2 allows you to quickly manage and edit large volumes of images, including RAWs, and then print them out or  publish them online.

For more information about using Lightroom 2 for the first time, check out the December 2008 issue of Practical Photography, where we explore everything shown here in detail.
