Printing at home has some real advantages; it’s quick, easy and you can get results in a fraction of the time it would take to send them to a professional printing company. Before you commit to the final print button, though, it’s a good idea to select the ICC profile for the paper that you’re using – especially if you want to get the very best results from your printer, ink and paper combination. In this video, Michael Topham shows you how to download an ICC profile from the Internet and install it so it’s ready to be used.

In Digital Photo’s March issue, eight Fine-Art papers were put to the test to find out which offered the best archival, textured surface to print on. The test was a close run thing and you can find out which paper picked up the prestigious Digital Photo Gold Award in this feature-packed issue, on sale from January 27th, so make sure you don’t miss it!
