The My Book features two hard disks, and automatically saves any information to both hard drives at once, meaning two identical copies of each file, maximising safety. If one of the hard disks were to fail, the other identical copy retains the information, meaning you don’t lose access to your documents. This process is known as mirroring, hence the name, and is a simple solution to the problem of data-loss. The automatic backup software means the computer does all the mirroring itself automatically, without the user worrying

The disk drives are formatted for use with Windows, and features USB 2.0 for faster data transfer speed. It’s built without a fan, to keep it quiet, making it suitable for a home or office. The casing is fully accessible, allowing the drives to be easily replaces should the need arise, and features 3-year limited warranty.

The price for the system has been set at £169.99 for the 1TB model, and £309.99 for the 2Tb model. For more information click here.
