Epson today announces the launch of the Epson Stylus S20, a new personal document and photo printer with individual ink cartridges. With a contemporary and compact design, the S20 is engineered to meet the demands of everyday printing in the home.
The S20 supports cost-efficient printing as consumers only need to replace the colour they use. The printer uses Epson DURABrite™ Ultra Ink which is an advanced pigment-based technology that encapsulates the ink particles in a protective resin coating. This makes the ink resistant to water, smudging and fading. The printer is caple of printing both text and photos, which Epson says can last up to 200 years when stored in a photo album. The S20 offers print speeds of up to 26 ppm in black and white and 14ppm in colour.
The S20 includes Epson PhotoEnhance technology. This involves the automatic detection of Images featuring skin tones, landscapes and skylines so that prints are reproduced with enhanced colour settings to improve overall tones and contrast. Also included is Epson Easy Photo Print, which makes it easy to remove red-eye.
