Kodak to increase film prices

Kodak announced today that it will increase prices on select consumer and professional still films and single-use cameras beginning in the first quarter of 2008. The price increase is a result of increased costs of raw materials, including silver and petrochemicals, as well as escalating oil prices, and industry volume trends.
Kodak says that it remains committed to its film portfolio and investment in film innovation to support the diverse capture needs of consumers and professionals worldwide. Kodak’s most recent introduction in October 2007 was a new Kodak Professional T-Max 400 Film, which is now the world’s finest-grained and sharpest 400-speed black-and-white film in the world.
