Basic Exposure winner announced

Laura Ringsell from Surrey is the winner of the Basic Exposure homework task. Laura wins a Nikon D40 kit worth £420. D-SLR Skills Course ‘students’ uploaded 739 pictures in total, and Laura’s picture of a gold ring set against a white backdrop was selected by the course course tutors as it “demonstrated extremely good use of exposure compensation and kept detail in both highlights and shadows, despite shiny rings being such tricky subject to photograph.”

“I cannot believe it!” said Laura, when we told her the news. “I got hooked on photography in January this year and had just finished the Open University photography course when Practical Photography’s D-SLR Skills Course came along. I am totally hooked and driving my husband mad!”
