Lustre paper was a popular choice in the darkroom, falling somewhere between between the glossy and matte alternatives. Lustre paper is popular because people obviously like the finish, but it’s also relatively resistant to fingerprints, especially when compared to glossy paper. PermaJet Ultra Pearl 295 paper offers a heavyweight 295gsm finish that’s not too dissimilar to traditional lustre paper. Profiles for most inkjet printers can be downloaded from the PermaJet website, including a print target that you can print at home and send off to PermaJet for a custom profile.
