Nikon offers an alternative to ringflash with this wireless macro lighting system.

Where other manufacturers offer ringflash solutions for macro shooting, Nikon’s R1C1 kit has a pair of small lights that attach to the lens, controlled by a wireless hotshoe-mounted controller.
The lights connect to an adaptor that connects to the lens via the filter thread, with a set of step-up rings included for different lens diameters. The lights can be positioned around the ring, providing plenty of lighting and shadow control and additional units can also be added if necessary. The flash units can also be angled to provide more control, or bounced from reflector cards onto the subject if necessary.
The wireless controller provides access to the output and shooting modes, including Nikon’s I-TTL system as well as manual control. The whaole kit and caboodle comes in a medium sized storage case, together with an assortment of adaptors and coloured filters.
The light quality is great, with even illumination, and plenty of control to provide greater depth than the standard flat lighting typical of ringflash. On the other hand it’s less useful for would be fashion photographers looking for that trendy ringflash look.
Verdict
A versatile and unique macro lighting kit, the Nikon R1C1 has plenty of control and potential for giving your macro images an added sparkle.

To make it complete, get a third SB-R200. I don't think I would ever have got so into macro if this didn't exist - it just encourages you to try new things and it's so amazingly easy to get the shots that you want.
If you're into macro with flash, there is no other choice without significantly compromising ease of use and versatility. Just get that third flash unit as well.

Makes macro flash easy, joy to use snd adjust output levels, filters included.
Comes in quality case with all accessories with own compartements but you'll need 3X CR123 Batteries.
You might find yourself wanting at least 3rd flash (space for 3rd SB-r200 in case)for more effects.
HOWEVER, consider alternatives a SB900 plus futher 900 or 600 more flexible (but less simple) for similar money.
Do you need SU800 controller? Most cameras or SB900 can control SB-r200's. Look at SBr1 kit, cheaper.
LIke Macro, got money, buy one!
