Build & design

There’s certainly something different about this bag from National Geographic. The backpack is made from a canvas material and doesn’t follow the traditional camera bag mould. It’s a very lightweight bag with comparatively thin straps, but the soft nature of the build makes it very comfortable on your back. Build quality is very impressive, with the bag featuring some little finishing touches with leather trim and handy clip poppers to secure flaps in place. As a travelling bag, this is a most versatile offering that caters for more than just your photographic gear requirements.

Storage

Access could not have been easier, with a large opening for the base pocket and the top pocket had a large opening too. We had to utilise the top and bottom to fit in all our gear, but this bag was quite forgiving and had loads of room for extras. A side laptop pocket and rain cover are great, but tripod point is not ideal.

Photo Answers’ verdict

With its unique appearance, this bag is something a bit different. It has a great design, is spacious and comfortable to wear.
