Not a brand normally associated with camera bags, the National Geographic NG2475 camera bag has a wonderfully retro design. The khaki canvas finish and brass buckles wouldn’t look out of place alongside a safari suit. Though opinion may vary over its looks, it’s certainly well-made, though we’d like a little extra padding on either end.

There’s a fair bit of internal space, but kit requires some clever packing to make the most of it. Within the bag is a separate padded section that will just about take a D-SLR and standard lens, with a flashgun at a push. That leaves either side for another two lenses, but because they’re butted up against the sides there’s not a lot of protection.

Though there’s no top access, getting to your gear is pretty quick, while the padded strap offers a comfortable carry once on your shoulder.
