The Metz 76 MZ-5 has to be one of the biggest flashguns on the market and has a price tag to match, costing more than a budget D-SLR.

The Metz 76 MZ-5 hammerhead flash is what you would expect from Metz; big, well-built and powerful enough to cope with any situation. It can comfortably cover a zoom range of 20 to 105mm and has a huge GN of 76 at 105mm.
Coming with its own bracket it feels more like bolting the camera to the flash than the other way round. Results are fantastic. Direct flash is very bright so bounce is a better option and the secondary flash adds some fill-in.
The flashgun connects to the camera through a hotshoe mounted control unit. Buttons on top of this deal with all the functions and a simple LCD screen keeps you informed, the unit supports E-TTL flash mode from Canon as well as i-TTL and D-TTL from Nikon.
If you are regularly shooting at events or need to light large scenes then this is the ultimate item for you.

Another amazing piece of pro equipment. Fantastically bright light. A truly long distant ray of sunshine. Agree with the other reviewer - you feel as if the camera is secondary to the Metz!!! Go to the gym and do some weights before you go out taking shots for the day! You'll appreciate that I haven't thoroughly tested it yet - but I'll provide an update as soon as possible.

Who says that you can't create light? -
This baby really is a 'portable Sun' & does alot more besides.... you're buying into a complete system where the light output is brilliant & consistent. Used one for 2 months daily - not a peep of a problem. Admittedly, it feels a bit heavy when using it for prolonged periods.
