The Lowepro Mini Trekker AW has become a stalwart backpack for Lowepro over many years and is a particularly lightweight model.

On the front of the Lowepro Mini Trekker AW the bag you’ll find an extensive compartment that can be unzipped easily, providing you with a handy space for snacks and waterproofs. Just beneath this is the tripod holder and this works by placing the feet of the tripod into a fold-out support and bracing it with adjustable elasticated clasps.
Further down the bag is an all-weather cover attached to the base with velcro; this cover is permanently attached, so you won’t forget to put it back in its place.
The Lowepro Mini Trekker AW had ample space for our kit. The three translucent zip-up storage pouches sewn into the lid of the bag are handy for memory cards or filters.
With the backpack fully loaded and the sternum and waist straps fastened, the Lowepro Mini Trekker AW gave a very comfortable carry, with the mesh back fabric helping to wick perspiration away from the skin.
The LowePro Mini Trekker AW scooped the
Digital Photo Gold Award in the September 2008 issue. Despite having been on the market forever, it continues to provide a top design, lots of space and comfort under load. The fabric and construction are first class and it’s fair to say it can withstand punishment from all weather conditions. The internal and external padding is excellent and the sternum and waist straps ensure stability is good when you’re on the move. All in all, this is a hard backpack to beat and for just £70 it offers top value.

Have been using this bag for about two years and have taken it up many a mountain in the Lake District and Skye and the bag still looks as good as new.
I carry one camera with kit lens, zoom lens, wide angle lens and a 50mm prime lens all with lens hoods. Plus a range of filters and accessories and still have room to spare.
I have had no problems with the all weather cover after carrying this bag in some pretty extreme weather conditions (especially in Skye).
The bag is very comfortable to wear, over long distances even when carrying a tripod in the rear holder.
I would highly recommend this camera for most users other than professionals who carry a lot more gear than your average photgrapher.

had this bag for just over a year and it has performed great pleanty space for kit the only problem i found was the all weather cover when used and tied tight tends too slip off slightly when you put the bag on allowing the top of the bag too get wet apart from that its great.
