Lowepro’s Compu Trekker is one of the most popular bags around. It’s comfortable to wear and houses loads of kit.

When using the Trekker Plus AW you’ll quickly realise why you see them on the backs of so many photographers. Even loaded to the max, this Trekker is very comfortable to wear.

The waist strap is small yet works really well to distribute the weight onto your hips. It has SlipLock slots too, so you can attach more accessories such as a water bottle pouch or extra lens cases around your waist or onto the side of the bag. Just like the rest of the range, there is a built-in tripod carrier that folds out from the front of the bag.

It works well, but the one drawback is the elastic straps that allow the tripod to wobble while you are walking. It has the AW specification so there’s a rain cover that folds out from the bottom of the bag. If you have more gear than will fit into the Mini Trekker or Compu Trekker, then this should be your choice.

Great bag!!

Yes I agree with the review above. I have had mine since October as an upgrade from the Orion Trekker backpack. This truly is a great bag, and takes a hard beating. I just moved to Sydney from Belfast UK, and had to (because of weight restrictions) bring all my techno stuff on the plane with me in one bag. Wait till you see this for a list. 1 Macbook Pro, 1 D80 1 Spare D80 battery 1 Nikon double battery charger, 1 200mm Zoom, 1 17-70 wide angle, 1 fixed 50, Varied lens hoods and about 6 boxed filters, 1 Canon camcorder 1 Canon charger & BIG battery, 1 wide angle lens for the camcorder 5 Mini Dv tapes, Firewire leads, 1 Sony PSP & Charger, Sony PSP power pack, 1 Portable firewire hard drive & Power pack A selection of leads, 1 Goby Gorrilla Pod, 1 velbon tripod, All in this one bag, without stressing it out at all. Airport security did not even glance twice at it..and that was through three international airports. Seems its easier to get a tripod through security than a pair of scissors. 8 months on and the bag is still whooping ass. I agree with the tripod bungy comment, the tripod does flap about with the bungies, but its no big issue. just work out ways to make it steady, with creative lacing of the bungy around the tripod.. but I guess its down to the shape of the tripod as well. Thanks, go and buy one!! Much cheaper than £169 by the way. I paid about £85 for mine! Jonathan
