Who is it for? The Lastolite EzyBox aims to provide a quick, easy and portable way to soften off-camera flash lighting.
Key features: Constructed with a flexible frame, the EzyBox folds down flat in a matter of seconds ready for storage. Its adjustable bracket can be altered to fit a wide range of flashgun makes and models and operates as a coldshoe. Inside hides a secondary diffusing layer, creating maximum diffusion for softer results.
Ease of use: Setup takes a matter of seconds, simply pull the EzyBox softbox out of its protective carrycase and watch as it instantly pops up into shape – saving you the hassle of having to wrestle rods into a speedring. All that’s left to do is simply attach the rear bracket onto the softbox, place your flashgun through the opening, and sit the whole thing on a lightstand. Unfortunately, there isn’t a lightstand included within the kit, so you’ll need to purchase one separately if you don’t already have one.
Price: The 60x60cm EzyBox softbox comes in at £103, but if you feel that this size may be slightly too large –  or even too small – Lastolite also offers a large range of sizes to suit with varying prices.
Summary: For anyone keen on trying shooting off-camera flash on location, the EzyBoz softbox is a great piece of kit to have. With its lightweight build and super-fast setup time, it provides a hassle-free way of turning a regular flashgun into a studio quality light source when you’re out on a shoot, and at a reasonable price.
