This is a seriously hefty bag with an equally hefty price tag, but if you can’t compromise on protection of a pro range of cameras and lenses then the Pro-Light Bumblebee camera bag is a contender for your cash.
 
You’ll fit two camera bodies easily enough inside (three if you lose a lens or two) and still have space for up to eight lenses. It’ll take lenses up to 500mm, as long as the tripod collar has been removed and you can also slide a 17inch laptop into the space provided.
 
The construction of the Pro-Light Bumblebee is impressive. It looks and feels tough, with ample zips complete with ‘parachute’ pullers for those moments when you are gloved or simply have numb fingers from the cold. There is even a spine guard for added impact protection.
 
Its new Gecko harness system really is good. Moulded EVA foam doesn’t seem to twist and is very comfortable across the shoulders, while the waist strap is broad enough to really hold everything in place without anything slipping.
 
Inside Aeriform foam dividers segment the space neatly enough, providing a cushion for the contents to stop unwanted battering and bruising from kit knocking together. A zipped mesh above the side dividers can also provide a secondary safety net for your lenses in case you ever do the classic picking up the bag having forgotten to zip the main compartment up.
 
If the bag lacks anything it is extra zipped pockets. There are none inside but there’s no real requirement for them as you can slide things like filters safely between the dividers. On the outside there are a several small zipped pockets.
