Hähnel’s Combi TF Pro Remote is a flash trigger kit, designed to fire studio flash or portable flashguns wirelessly. As well as firing studio flash or portable flashguns wirelessly, you can use the Hähnel Combi TF Pro Remote Control as a remote release to fire a D-SLR. Designed for Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic and Sony users, the kit is better built than budget triggers, has 4 channels to choose from, and the bright green LEDs are handy when triggering flash or working at night.
To use the triggers with studio lighting, you’ll need the studio light cable; a £7.99 optional extra with a 3.5mm jack plug, plus an adapter for converting it into a 1/4in jack plug.
The transmitter works with both Nikon and Canon flashguns, talking to the receiver from as far as just over 100m and firing the flash consistently. It doesn’t support TTL metering, but it is an excellent system that works well, is easy to use and at £60 offers great value for money.
