Etre Touchy gloves are designed to fit somewhere between full fingered gloves and fingerless gloves. The idea is that by only having the fingers you need to use free, you can maintain control of your electronic devices without all of your fingertips getting cold.

They’re made from acrylic material but aren't the thickest gloves around, so don’t expect them to keep your hands warm if they’re fully exposed to freezing conditions for long periods. They're fine for cooler mornings and evenings in winter where having your thumb and forefinger exposed for shooting is necessary. Unfortunately, they lack anti-slip grip that would be extremely useful for holding onto slippery electronic devices.

The gloves cost £14.99 including P&P and can be ordered directly from www.etretouchy.com

Tbh, do you really need exposed fingers? On my camera (Canon EOS 400D), I can navigate just fine with a pair of gloves on! And if I needed gloves with missing fingers, I'd follow the previous poster's suggestion of cutting up a cheap pair of gloves and smouldering the remaining ends!

Barbour produce a much better quality Neoprene glove with fold back finger tips. They are designed for shooting but are brilliant for outdoor photography in winter. Once you have taken your shot you can fold the finger tips back in place. Details at barbour.com under acessories.

or just buy yourself a pair of cheap gloves for a fiver, cut the finger tips off, smelter with a lighter the ends and you just saved a tenner! useless product of the year?
