Manufactured for use with Epson inkjet printers, Epson Premium Glossy photo paper is the highest grade of gloss paper that Epson produces. It’s ideal for Epson users who want their prints to have a high-gloss sheen.

Premium Glossy features a resin coated (RC) base designed to maintain vivid, faithful colour. The 225gsm weight makes it significantly heavier than copier paper (80gsm) and it can withstand contact from droplets of water, too. Out of the printer the paper is touch-dry, but like all inkjet papers, it’s best to leave them for 24 hours to make sure they’re fully dry.
To achieve the best results from this media, Premium Glossy must be set as the Media Type in your printer driver. A close inspection of our test prints under a loupe revealed prints with authentic shades of colour, with superb levels of detail in both colour and black & white versions. Be careful when handling the paper, though – it’s easy to leave fingerprints on the printed surface if you’re not vigilant. Handle by the edges, or get some cotton gloves from Boots to be safe.
Premium Glossy is available in all main paper sizes from 6x4in to A2, including rolls for large format printing. An A4 pack of 15 sheets costs £11, which works out at 73p per sheet.
If it’s a high-gloss print finish you want, you won’t go far wrong with Epson’s Premium Glossy. It’s well priced, available in all the common sizes and it kicks out results that are not dissimilar to a pro-lab print.
