The Crumpler Pretty Boy Backpack is constructed using a high-quality ripstop lining fabric that prevents water getting through. It comes with two compartments; the upper half is unpadded and will take light waterproofs and snacks, and beneath this is a padded camera compartment. This is rather tight on space and we couldn’t fit our 70-200mm telephoto lens in. It did go into the upper half of the bag, but you’d need to devise some padding or use a lens case for this to be effective. The padded dividers provided weren’t quite up to the job because the Velcro-style fastening didn’t attach securely enough to the sides of the compartment to retain our kit.
The Crumpler Pretty Boy Backpack is quite comfortable, despite the lack of sternum and waist straps, and is cleverly designed to provide a solid and stable carry.
