Build & design
Crumpler is one of the more trendy bag brands, with the designs and indeed the product names being rather more colourful. The Italian Connection is a very well-made bag, constructed from a hyper performance fabric with a soft protective coloured lining. The shape is contoured with the back being very well padded with a breathing hole against your back. The straps are very strong and easily adjusted. They are also very well padded with a securing clip across your chest. Although this strap is adjustable (up/down) it still sits rather high up towards the neck line.
Storage
You can get into this bag from the front and rear, which gave excellent access to all our gear. The laptop slid into the back. The unusual shape restricts the space. The side pockets are quite tight, and don’t have a great deal of give in them. A large laptop pocket and built-in rain cover but no tripod storage.
Photo Answers’ verdict
Slightly limited on space, but a great design that is well made. The only downside is the lack of tripod straps on the bag.
