Fotospeed Natural Textured Fine Art

Fotospeed’s Natural Textured Fine Art paper is made from 100% cotton and can be used with either dye or pigment inks.

Fotospeed’s Natural Textured Fine Art paper is 100% acid-free and offers good brightness. Opening up our A3+ box revealed that the paper, worth £2.15 a sheet, was well wrapped and protected in cellophane. An A4 information sheet stated which was the printable side and pulling a sheet from the pack revealed the paper’s durability. Weighing 315gsm it’s quite heavy and in the hand it feels thick and robust and, best of all, it’s priced reasonably at £43.06 for 20 sheets in the A3+ format. 
When we carried out the test, Fotospeed was in the process of re-designing its online resource centre, so we were sent the profile directly. By the time you read this, all of Fotospeed’s ICC profiles should be available to download online. Viewing the test prints under our daylight balanced lamp revealed superb detail and sharpness, with excellent definition in the blacks. Colours were spot on and the paper’s texture was noticeable without being too distinct or overly uniform.
Offering an exceptional quality at a competitive price, Fotospeed’s Natural Textured paper has picked up a well deserved five stars in each rating category. We were impressed by the weight, and the peaks and troughs in the texture are noticeable without being overly rough. It controlled detail in the darkest areas extremely well and the tones remained neutral in both our colour and mono prints. At £43.06 for a pack of 20 sheets in the A3+ format it offers excellent value for money and is a worthy winner of the esteemed DP Gold Award. Well done, Fotospeed!
