Silkypix Developer Studio 4 is a well-featured converter for PC only, although v3.0 is compatible with Macs. Open multiple RAWs and SilkypiDeveloper Studio 4 offers some limited functions for rating, filtering and renaming files, but it’s not really a file management tool. There’s a list of the support RAW formats on its website and during editing, images can be marked using colour codes and then filtered, which allows you to work on images in an order you choose.
The interface features a range of presets, known as ‘tastes’ for basic controls like Exposure, White Balance, Contrast, etc, and these are permanently on screen and make simple RAW conversions easy. There’s much more functionality, though, including a Highlight Controller, Lens Corrections and colour controls in palettes that can be turned on or off and then either floated or docked in the interface. Adjustments to each file have to be made individually but, once complete, batch processing is possible outputting to TIFF/JPEG and applying sharpening. Performance is good, too, with previews refreshing quickly, and you can also limit rendering to 100% previews only.
