Mr Site offers three different sized packages to get your website up and running. The Mr Site packages include beginner, standard, and pro and are available to buy in a box as well as online. This is ideal if you fancy purchasing a website for someone as a gift. It’s the only website template service, however, that doesn’t let you try before you buy with a free trial. There is a tour facility on the website, but this isn’t the same as trying it out for yourself. If you go for the boxed version you’ll receive an instruction guide and an activation password to get your website running. It took us five minutes to set up our domain name, and we then chose from one of the 122 templates on offer. The main admin page is split into six options, but if you want to do something more specific, like editing a gallery, you’ll need to use the Quick Jump menu. You can add descriptions, titles and watermarks during the upload stage, but it took longer to select our images and upload them into our gallery. You can add passwords to your galleries at no extra cost and there’s an option of setting up a secure PayPal online shop. There’s also an Under Construction page that can be turned on if you don’t want people to view your site while you’re creating it. Mr Site recommends images should not exceed 200KB, and with a 150MB hosting limit, expect to upload 750 pics for your £35 fee.
