The Lexmark X6650 features a 4-in-1 colour ink system with optional 6-colour photo printing and wireless connectivity.

This is a wide and tall model and, as a result, the Lexmark X6650 feels a little bulky, but it looks the part with a smart black and silver finish. Build quality is good with the paper trays and feeders feeling sturdy, and although the scanner lid wobbles a bit this is because it can be raised up to scan thicker objects like books. The Lexmark X6650
features a 4-in-1 colour ink system, with optional 6-colour photo printing, wireless connectivity, print, scan and copy functions, computer-free printing, not to mention a fax. If you intend to print direct from memory card, USB or PictBridge, the basic dot matrix style LCD provides some control to select and print photos, but it’s limited compared to a more modern, graphical LCD.
Printing via a computer is more intuitive though, using the Lexmark Productivity Studio to do quick photo fixes, like red-eye removal, cropping or rotating, then there’s more advanced options to adjust things like exposure and colour, and you can also transfer images to your hard drive and rename them. Printing performance was sluggish, though, taking 100secs to print a 10x15cm photo.
