The ‘office’ grey of the HP Photosmart C6380 feels rather more functional than stylish, but does it do the job?

The build quality of the HP Photosmart C6380 is mixed; the paper tray has a reassuringly smooth action, but the 2.4in LCD feels small, the scanner lid isn’t weighted and control buttons wobble when pressed. The HP Photosmart C6380
features a dye-based photo black and colour ink system for high-quality photos and a pigment-based black is also available for printing crisp text. In addition to the regular print, scan, and copy functions, there’s also the ability to make borderless prints up to A4, or panoramic prints – and there’s wireless connectivity, too! There are a range of LCD options like creating album pages, passport size photos, as well as image adjustments to rotate, crop, frame or adjust brightness and apply different colour effects. Printing a 10x15cm photo in 44secs makes the HP Photosmart C6380 pretty quick, which is great, but operation can be frustrating at times as you have to wait for the printer to process a task. That said, the HP Photosmart C6380 is both easy to set up and use, thanks to the helpful set-up video tutorials and intuitive print driver interface.
