DXO Optics PRO V6.2

The DxO Optics Pro V6.6 approach to RAW conversion is a little different as it uses camera and lens specific modules to make adjustments automatically.

DxO Optics Pro V6.6 has profiled hundreds of camera/lens combinations, testing them at different focal lengths and camera settings so the software knows what adjustments to make. The Interface has four tabs: Select, Customise, Process, and View. In the Select tab, choose images to adjust and drag them to the Project area. You can now skip to the Process tab, configure Output options and hit ‘Process Project’. RAW files are then automatically processed and placed in the View tab where you assess ‘before’ and ‘after’ previews. Files took around 30-60secs to process and generally the automatic corrections are good for removing Noise and correcting distortion. For exposure adjustment, though, we found making your own corrections in the Customise tab yielded much better results, as the sliders offer all the standard adjustments like lighting, colour, geometry and detail, together with a series of presets.
