The Apple MacBook 2.0 Ghz boasts a first class design, excellent finish and a really solid feel. And it’s compact enough to fit into your camera bag compartment if you need to take it on a shoot.
Clever-thinking was on the agenda when they designed it. How many times have you tripped over a power lead? Well, the Macbook has a nifty solution in the MagSafe power adaptor so if you get tangled in wires the magnetic connection breaks but your laptop stays put.
It features a powerful 2.0 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo chip and 1GB of RAM to keep hungry programs like Photoshop happy. There is a 120gb hard drive, a dvd/cd combo SuperDrive and a bright 13.3in widescreen display that produces pin sharp images.
On test, the screen proved to be of adequate size when running a range of applications, including Photoshop, and battery life proved excellent – lasting almost six hours.
The operating system, OS X Tiger, is intuitive and looks very slick and bundled in comes iLife, a suite of applications including iPhoto, iWeb, iMovie HD and GarageBand.
The MacBook is a great piece of kit, and reasonably priced, so if you’re in the market for a powerful, portable and feature packed laptop you have just found it.

One of the most impressive things of the Macbook and indeed any Apple computer is the fact that it is ready to go straight from the box. In the past with PC purchases it has taken 3 or 4 hours to set up, this is not so with the Mac. Out of the box and ready to go in 20 minutes or so. I made the transition to Mac about 18 months ago, and now have 3 in my house. The performance of the Macbook is excellent and features impressive. The Macbook had done everything i have asked of it with little effort. Highly Recommended.

I am a self confessed apple geek, and when i came to replace my 5 year old ibook (worked great still but the battery was dead, the power lead frayed and the keys were wearing off from overuse!), the only choice for me was the macbook.
I upped the Ram (crucial.co.uk) and it is great when im out on the road for uploading photos, editing and storing.
iphoto comes loaded as standard and is a great way to edit, organise & store photos. CS3 works sweet too!
I get 14% off apple products as i work at a uni. If i didnt i would struggle to justify the price... but then again you are paying for a well designed & great performing product.
ps it runs windows too if you really want it too!
