Amazing Internet offers a range of websites and the portfolio series is designed for photographers. Logging on and setting up a 30-day free trial with Amazing Internet is straightforward and the only information required to get the trial started is a valid email address. There are nine template styles including Pro 2, which we opted for, and a wide range of 18 template colours to choose from. The gallery can be laid out in one of six ways, and we settled for Layout 1, which offered rows of three images and allows people to view photos in slideshow format. Inside the Admin area there are five sub headings and under the title Website Pages you’ll find the gallery options.
Setting up four galleries was effortless, however there’s no multiple image uploader so you’ll need to upload images one by one. With a set of 12 images uploaded, it was a painless operation re-ordering them inside the gallery Image Admin area. The home page image requires a specific crop for it to upload successfully and this needs to be 834 x 523 pixels, preferably with empty space at the top for your website title. Also featured is a Fine Arts Prints service, which enables you to sell directly from your site and there’s search engine optimisation (SEO) control for each page that you create. At a steep £287.50 per year, it’s quite an expensive service, but this does include a domain name.
