There’s plenty in the Sony T10 to keep most photographers busy, plus Sony have seen fit to throw in their anti-camera shake technology for good measure.

This is a very typical example of a modern digital compact. Weighing just 168g and measuring just 3.5 inches across, it still manages to pack an incredible specification into its diminutive dimensions. Seven million pixel resolution, 3x optical zoom, versatile integral flash with auto, red-eye reduction, fill-in and slow sync modes, and even a choice of metering options. The LCD panel on the back is 2.5in, so reviewing images isn’t a problem and it packs an ISO range of 80 to 100.
If other Sony compacts are anything to go by, this should be a capable performer, although the auto white balance performance could be better, especially when shooting indoors. The T10 doesn’t offer manual white balance control so some correction may be needed on your computer.
An excellent crop of features and image stabilisation, too
