Who is this camera aimed at? The TX1 is a neat, streamlined compact that suits anyone who needs a camera they can slip into a pocket with no fuss.
Key features: The 3in touch screen is a joy to use and is responsive to the lightest of touches. The Intelligent Auto Adjustment mode works out the camera’s best settings for your shooting situations and there’s a superb Sweep Panorama mode to capture wide-angle scenes.
Is it built to last? The front cover protects the lens and flash from the worst possible scratches. The materials and build quality are first-class and this helps give it a durable, solid feel in the hand.
What’s it like to use? The menu is easy to navigate, thanks to its bold, bright icons. The Quick menu enables you to change camera settings rapidly while shooting.
Image quality: The Exmor R sensor produces  detail-packed images and you’ll find there’s no drop in resolution at ISO 3200.
Conclusion: If you fancy a lightweight compact that’s as easy to use as it is to put in your pocket, the TX1 makes an irresistible choice to partner your D-SLR.
