Perfect for the more active photographer, the W20 is a well-specified digital compact with the added benefit of waterproofing. It packs an effective resolution of 7.1 million pixels, has a 3x optical zoom, and an ISO range of 64-400 (800 in candle mode).

The design of the W20 meets Class 8 waterproofing standard, which means that it can be used at a depth of 1.5m for 30 minutes. It’s also dustproof, making it a real go-anywhere model.
Despite this additional protection, the W20 still looks like a standard digital compact and has the features to prove it. Specification highlights include a blur reduction mode, continuous AF for tracking moving subjects, a close focus setting of just 1cm and a selection of digital filters, including sepia, soft focus and six coloured filters.
Optio models tend to deliver a decent performance although ultimately, you’re likely to be attracted to this camera for its waterproofing rather than the quality of images.
Great for active photographers, you’ll be able to take pictures regardless of the weather conditions.
