The design of the Pentax Optio H90 will probably divide opinion!Overall, the simple and functional design of the Pentax Optio H90 works well, with the matt finish complementing it nicely, and as well as the Black/Silver finish on offer, there’s Silver/Orange and White/Silver, too.
The Pentax Optio H90’s ISO range runs to 1600, but can be pushed to 6400, though resolution is sacrificed, with the pixel count dropping down to 5MP.
Regarding the zoom range, you’re also well catered for, with it running from 28-140mm, allowing plenty of scope for a range of subjects. There’s a Digital SR (Shake Reduction) mode, which boosts ISO to reduce camera shake.
AF is a touch noisy in operation, with quite a mechanical sound generated, but it does a solid job at focusing – there’s a useful manual focus option, too. The interface itself is pretty straightforward to navigate and while there is one-touch Flash, AF and Drive controls, other settings will need to be set in the menu.
