Key featuresBeside the 5x optical zoom (28-140mm) and beneath the flash is the built-in projector. Designed to offer an alternative way of presenting your pics, it offers bright and sharp projections of captured images or JPEG files from your computer, displaying them at any size between 5in and 47in. The 3in screen at the rear takes up a lot of room, so to save space it uses touch-screen technology.
Is it built to lastIt certainly is. It has a high-end feel to it and the controls and buttons are all positive to use. The projector window isn’t fitted with a flip-down lens cover, but the lens is and this will prevent dust, dirt and scratches from damaging the front element.
Performance & handling
With three buttons at the back, the touch-screen is relied on for most operations and it’s fitted with Lens-Shift type Vibration Reduction that combats unwanted camera shake.
Image qualityIt may not offer RAW support, but the Jpegs it outputs are sharp and full of contrast. At high ISOs (3200 & 6400) the resolution drops to just 3Mp.
