The 550D promises to push the specification of entry-level offerings further than ever before with some impressive new features. The pick of bunch are the high-resolution 18Mp sensor, making high quality A2 print a reality, together with the new 63-zone iFCL metering system for improved metering and exposures.

It’s the new HD movie capabilities that people are getting really excited about however. With full 1080p High Definition movies recorded at either 30, 25 or 24fps, combined with the ability to connect an external microphone for improved sound recording, the EOS 550D is billed to be a real multi media solution for the budding film-maker.
