I went to Filey in 2007, and also in 1954, it has changed. For a start there used to be a thing called Moaning Minnie on the seaward end that let out a horrible moaning noise when the wind was high. it was also bigger in 1954, the waves have worked there effect quite a lot. Still it is a great place to take photographs, if a little dangerous (in 1954 I saved my brothers life when he silpped into the sea and I was able to grab him and pull him out. He was 8 at the time). Take care a and watch the tide, but also watch the sky, it can be very dramatic. Also don't ignore Filey itself, there are some great potential images if you walk along the seafront.
