Hunstanton Sealife Centre

Directions: Park in the main carpark in Hunstanton and head for the promenade. The Sealife centre is well signposted from most parts of the town.
Accessibility: Good
Costs: £8.50 for adults, £6 for children, Discounts available for groups and by booking online. (See website for details)

Venue information

A good range of marine species, including Seals, Penguins, Sharks and Seahorses, there is also a well-established Otter Holt and landscaped area. Great for photographing these elusive and playful creatures.

Venue Verdict: The otters here are fantastic and the open enclosure makes photography straightforward. Rays, sharks and other marine life also make for a good photographic experience. I used higher ISO settings since flash really didn’t work when photographing through glass.

    I went to this venue in 2007 and although overall it was a pleasant experience, it did not have the wow factor. I took some lovely photos of the clown loach and because of the walkway over the ray pool was able to take some different angles of the rays. Worth a visit.
