i would personaly rate this venue 5* photo oppertunities abound even for non landscape photographers a must is the pub next to ribbleshead viaduct sometimes especialy on saturday/sunday you get folkbands come in to play live mike harding has been known to join them good for relaxed candids and for blokes the loo with a view is a must see but if you are a landscaper you will be in seventh heaven photo oppertunities arise in landscape obviously, people, sheep auctions, architecture ( lots of wonderful stone buildings villages } cameo scenes like old blacksmiths ,animals, just everywhere you turn theres usualy an oppertunity of getting something good. no particular time of year reccomended but i went in autumn and the light and colours were gorgeous i would personaly reccomend dent to stay at .i stayed at the sun inn at dent and i got a warm welcome lovely room which althogh basic was cheap and clean and a gorgeous breakfast reccomended although there isn't a shortage of good b+bs you have to book in advance as it is very popular cannot state that point enough
if you like life with the camera on your eye most of the time don't miss going here
the only downside is transport you must go by car to get the most out of it it is doable by train but expect long walks to accomodation as if you go you will dicover mostly it,s pretty remote
