Venue information

Nestling on the northwest coast of Devon, Hartland Quay was a bustling port from the 16th to the 19th century. But now little of the port remains and this sleepy corner of the South West is more famous as a holiday destination and for its farming than for its commerce and trade.

Venue Verdict: The west-facing coast is perfect for shooting the sun setting over the Atlantic.

Hartland Quay and lighthouse has some stunning scenery and on a clear day you can see Lundy Island. Great rock formations and views across to Clovelly. Rugged and windswept at times, accessibility is ok but in high season you have to pay to use the car park! Steep paths and part of the SW coastal path so good for ramblers too!
