I been looking in the forum about loading raw files from my camera on photoshop elements 7, some say you can and other's are having problems with it, so i got in touch with adobe there told me that  i have to upgrade to photoshop 8,

So can some 1 tell me what to do before i start to use raw thank

You can not use Elements 7 to edit your 600D RAW files. It needs Adobe Camera RAW ver. 6.4 which is not compatible with ver. 7 of Elements. Upgrade Elements to ver.8 or better still ver.9. There are other possibilities but that route would be the best IMVHO. - John

It would appear that ACR V6.4.1 is not compatible with anyhting earlier than Elements 9. However, it is possible to use the Adobe DNG converter and process the DNG files in Elements 7, if you wish. It is an extra step but the DNG converter is free to download from Adobe.

Sydney Berstein said that 'assumptions are the prerogative of fools and bankrupts'. I'm not sure which one I am having assumed that Adobe had given hallcro the advice to upgrade to ver.8 and that was the correct advice. - John
