South East Regional Forum

Hi

As Clive and Garry have started the ball rolling in their area, thought I would give it a go for the South East

I live in Surrey, on the borders of Greater London.  I am a member of the Molesey Photograhic Club and have recently talked myself into the role of organising regular "Photo Ambles"

So as a first suggestion for people in the South East, let me know if you want to join our outing to Guildford on the 10th of May.

We are starting at the cathedral, with an optional guided tour booked at £3 per head (max 15 people).  We will then move on to the town, castle and riverside.

Contact me if you want further details on this trip, or just suggest alternative places.

Regards

Jane

Ah, yes scottish hit men are a wee bit cheaper, biggiest I get in the garden at present is an over feed pidgeon or a magpie, plenty off young blue and great tits also sparrows and starlings, but no young bklack birds this year.

The sparrow hawk seems to be keeping to the B & Q carpark, plenty for him there

The kitw offspring are at the age when they leave the nest and start fending for themselves. I expec there will be a higher prevalence of Kites for a while particularly in more urban areas where they are less usually seen. This comes with a lack of experience in the younger birds. With any luck, this new generation will be successful and kite sightings will become yet more common. They are quite a beautiful species.

It's only banter :)

Dave he's only a few miles down the road and I thought it would be an opportunity te Re-educate him on Kite behaviour.. Bloody bad time for Blackbirds here due to weather. Our residents have had 5 attempts at nesting and all failed they are looking glum.
