Portable storage

These handheld devices are portable hard disks that either connect directly to your camera or accept the memory cards. They allow you to download the pictures, and free-up space on your memory cards to allow you to carry on shooting for longer periods. It’s usually best to get a device with a picture-viewing screen, so you can make certain that your pictures are safe before you erase them from your card.
When you get back home, connect the storage device to your PC and upload the images just as you would from your camera. Many portable storage devices also play MP3 music files and have games to play, making them the perfect choice for travelling.
