Layer Groups

Layer Groups are another great way to keep your layers palette uncluttered. If you have a number of similar adjustments that you want to contain together collectively in one small group then their perfect for you.

At the bottom of the Layers Palette select the Folder Icon > Create New Group. This will then bring in a new group into your layer palette. Rename the group appropriately by double clicking on the Group 1 text. Simply drag the layers that you want to appear in this group on top of the Group Layer. Click on the horizontal arrow to then view the layers you have placed in this group. Don’t feel that you are restricted by adding just the one group, you can add an unlimited number of groups by repeating the process.
