Interpolation is another name given to the process of image resampling.
There are five methods that can be used for calculating the best route for resizing an image – Nearest Neighbor, Bilinear, Bicubic, Bicubic Smoother and Bicubic Sharper.
All the Interpolation options are found inside the Image Size Dialog box from the drop-down list. A close-up view of the options is shown opposite.
