High-key lighting is the complete opposite of low-key lighting and is completely free of dark mood and shadows. High-key lighting is achieved by using high-powered, high intensity lighting, softboxes and reflectors, to achieve an ultra-clean look with no shadows – often against a white studio backdrop.
