Encapsulated postscript (EPS) is a file format that that is recognised universally by most page design and layout applications. EPS files are based on PostScript language and because of this they contain Vector and Bitmap graphics. The benefit of this for designers is imported EPS files can contain a combination of text, images and logo’s without either suffering any loss of form. Image manipulation applications such as Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro (?) support saving files in EPS format.
