Hipstamatic iPhone Application
Practical Photography

Are you one of the millions of people out there taking advantage of Apple's latest iPhone, the iPhone 4? If so, it's likely you've caught the "app bug", and here at Photo answers, we're just the same, so much so we found an app that's so much fun we just had to share it with you.
Hipstamatic is a virtual Lomo camera that makes use of the iPhone's onboard 5mp camera and adds a quirky yet intuitive interface, along with some wild and wacky image processing to mimic the effects of Lomo photography. Just like it's real life counterpart, Hipstamatic can produce some great looking images but part of the fun is how unpredictable it can be. Crazy light flares, extreme colour casts and grungy borders all combine to make characteristic images.
The app also allows you to swap lenses, films and even simulates flash gels to give you some degree of control over the psychedelic results, and via the update system, the makers regularly release new effects in the shape of new lenses and films. When you’re satisfied with your shots, the integrated upload system allows you to share them quickly and simply on networks like Facebook.
