In our moody mono feature, published in the August 09 Issue of Practical Photography, we showed you how to bump up the mood and atmosphere in black & white shots by overlaying a texture. Download these high-resolution textures to a folder on your computer and use them to kick-start your own texture library.

How to download
Simply click a texture you like the look of to open up the high-resolution version. Once it’s loaded, right-click it and select ‘Save Picture As’ from the pop-up menu. Choose a suitable save location (such as the My Pictures folder) and click Save. You can now close the image window and download another shot.
