Online Courses / Distance Learning (Various Levels)
22 July 2008 16:29
Distance learning courses offer students a huge amount of flexibility compared to other courses. They fit easily around work and other commitments, so work well for people who find it difficult to attend a class in the evening.
Distance study usually involves completing assignments at home before sending them off to a personal tutor who will mark, and provide feedback for your work. You also have access to your tutor via email for any support or advice during the course.
These courses offer flexibility for students who can’t fit other forms of education into their lives. On the downside, you don’t have face to face contact with your tutor or peers, so exposure to other people’s work will be zero. Distance learning is very good in many cases but is well supplemented with photography magazines, books and even short practical photography courses.
